Route/Itinerary: The walk will be hosted by MWAT Director, and military veteran Ash and will walk around 3 miles in total, hoping to incorporate all areas of the site. In addition to the walk we have organised the following;
– 1015 Welcome brief @ reception
– 1045 Service of Remembrance @ the Chapel
– 1230 Talk @ the Shot at Dawn Memorial
– 1400 Talk @ the Far East Prisoner of War Memorial
We will also be stopping for coffee and cake (at own expense) in the on-site restaurant as and when needed.
Caution: The memorials and talks are very poignant and I must stress as much as the venue is awe inspiring, it can be upsetting so please be prepared for this.
Equipment/Dress code: No specific dress code but casual/smart casual would be advised, a waterproof in case of inclement weather but usual walking attire and rucksacks are not needed, but if you prefer to bring your own food and drink, you are more than welcome to do so.
